FOLSOM, Calif. (October 3, 2011) – Meridian Systems, the Plan-Build-Operate technology solutions leader for project-based organizations, announced today the release of Prolog® Version 9 software, a new release featuring several product enhancements and performance improvements for the Prolog construction project management application suite.

Designed specifically for Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) organizations, the Prolog software solution offers the most complete project management system available today—from the field to back office. The software is ideal for project managers who are accountable for cost, scope and schedule, and project teams contributing to the successful delivery of projects. The Prolog suite of applications includes Prolog Manager, a Windows-based desktop client and Prolog Converge, a Web-based application built on Web services.

“Prolog 9 provides more access to critical construction cost data needed to deliver projects successfully,” said Jon Fingland, head of AEC Service Provider Business Unit at Meridian Systems. “Prolog 9.0 continues to offer deep project controls functionality required by project managers, while also allowing the broader project team to share more cost details utilizing our Web services platform.  This new release makes it is easier than ever for AEC firms to deliver projects on budget.”

The Prolog Converge application has been enhanced with improved cost control functionality that provides project stakeholders with more visibility and easier ways to collaborate on the financial aspects of a construction project. Prolog customers will benefit from the addition of 17 new forms, including 9 new cost forms such as contract invoices, potential change orders (PCOs), change order requests and more.

The Prolog Manager technology update provides support for the latest version of Microsoft Office 2010 bringing current Word processing functionality and compatibility to the more than 6,000 organizations who use the Prolog Manager application today.
