Release Notes (12/18/2016)

Josh Witmer, Product Manager

Hello! Holiday season is in full gear and we wanted to take a minute and reflect on all that we have to be thankful for. At ProjectTeam, the thing we are most thankful for is you. 2016 has been an unbelievable year and we've made countless new partnerships with some incredible companies. Thank you for using ProjectTeam every day, thank you for all of your amazing feedback, and thank you for your help in spreading the word about the system.

Last week we released another new set of features based on customer feedback that we feel will greatly improve overall usability and user adoption in ProjectTeam. As always if you need anything, feel free to reach out. We'd love to help :)

Business and Project Directories

As a company administrator, you'll notice a new tab in the community area - business directory. Your business directory is a place where you can track all other companies and contacts that you work with across all of your projects. It doesn't matter if the other companies or contacts are users of the system or not. Also, your business directory will automatically update upon connecting with other companies in ProjectTeam. Once companies and contacts are added to your business directory, you can pull them into specific project's project directory. The beauty of adding companies and contacts to your project directory is that now when working on a form, fields on that form can reference existing information eliminating the need to retype the same name over and over again.

Limited Users vs. Full Users

Here at ProjectTeam, we are all about COLLABORATION! In this most recent release, we made big changes to user types and their access to features within the system. There are now two types of users:

  • Full users - Just $59/month and have full access to the system
  • Limited users - Free and have limited access to the system

Users are no longer restricted to just a single project. This makes your life much easier. As a full user, you can create your projects and then share information from those projects to anyone else that you want. Those other people can log into ProjectTeam for free and view or edit the information you have given them, assuming they have appropriate permissions. If you work with the same sub on 10 different projects, they will be able to work seamlessly with you on every one of those projects.

Other Misc. Changes and Improvements

  • Save and Share button on forms
  • Improved Action Item dashboard
  • Submittal workflow management
  • Easier sign up for new users

I hope all this comes in handy. We'll be in touch soon with even more great stuff. If you need anything, feel free to reach out.

Have a great holiday!
