Release Notes (3/6/2017)

Josh Witmer, Product Manager

At ProjectTeam, we want to help you get more done on your projects. On a typical project there can be 10, 20, even 100 different companies all working together towards a common goal. It's important to have a collaborative project management system in place to keep everyone on the same page by delivering documents to the appropriate people. One of the ways that ProjectTeam helps keep your projects moving is workflow.

On each project, you can set up predefined workflows that allow you to route information from users or companies to automate the approval process of each document. It doesn't matter if you are using a workflow that is comprised of all users within your company or you want to involve other contractors, suppliers, and clients.

On each workflow, you can define:

  • who can start each workflow

  • who is involved in the approval process

  • instructions at each step

  • how long each step has to make a decision

  • who should receive updates along the way

When using workflow on your documents, you will see an easy-to-read diagram that shows where you currently stand in the process. Users will receive updates and reminders within ProjectTeam that encourage them to make decisions to push each document through the steps.

If you want to see where you stand across all of your projects, you can review your workflow dashboard that lays out all of the information on cards in swimlanes so that you can see everything that requires your attention. Each card has a link that takes you directly to the information and allows you to quickly take your actions.
