Release Notes (6/10/2016)

Josh Witmer, Product Manager

In this latest release, we worked with a group of our larger clients to revamp the submittal process within We've upgraded functionality for submittals and submittal packages, cleaned up some of the unnecessary clicks, and added workflow so you can track exactly where a set of submittals is currently sitting. Below is a quick list of tips and tricks that help make the sometimes daunting task of submittal management a little more palatable.

Submittal Log

The first major change you'll notice when you get into the submittal area of ProjectTeam is the submittal log. We've surfaced some of the information included in the submittal form and the submittal's workflow to make tracking your submittals easier. Important fields visible right from the log include:

  • Submittal Status
  • Submittal Due Date
  • Ball In Court
  • Days Ball In Court
  • Last Action Taken

In addition to the fields shown by default, you can always reconfigure your log to show the information that is most important to you and your company. You could also add custom fields to the submittal form and then create a report using any of the fields of the form.

Submittal Packages and Workflow

During conversations with our clients, they've mentioned that one of their biggest frustrations with other construction project management systems is that they handle everything at the individual submittal level, not at the submittal package level. This makes going through their submittals and taking action on them extremely tedious. In ProjectTeam you can organize a set of submittals into a submittal packages, and then workflow that package out to other users or groups on your project. Then, the user(s) that receives the submittal package can take action from the package or within each individual submittal.
